The hole The Fence
The hole in the fence
Something was extremely off. Every day I noticed multiple items vanishing. At first I thought nothing of it. Because only small and unimportant things like my stationary went missing. But when I woke up this morning, my whole couch was gone. “MUM!!” I called out. “ DID YOU SELL OUR COUCH OR SOMETHING?!”. I stood there silently. The living room was so quiet I could hear the thumping of my heart. I waited for 1 minute and I got no reply. It was Saturday and mum doesn’t have work today. So where is she? She usually tells me when she is leaving the house. Something felt off. I scurried up the stairs and opened the door hurriedly. Mum was not there. I checked around the whole house and asked everyone I could possibly think of. But everyone said that she wasn’t with them. Right before all hope was lost and I called the police, I ran outside. “Whoosh”. I exited the house and looked around. Once again I couldn’t see her. I thought I was about to give up. Until, I saw a glowing green neon light shining through a hole that was as big as a $2 coin. The green beam of light was a hole in my fence.
“What is that?”. Curious, I moved closer to it. This could be the answer to finding my mum and all the missing furniture. And once again I moved even closer. Then…I felt it…My eye began to feel as if it was being squeezed. My head felt as if it was being pulled towards the fence. My whole body seemed to be moving. Suddenly…Pop! My whole body felt like it became a tiny little ball that was squished into place. Yet… I felt no pain at all. I felt like my heart stopped beating for a split second then turned back on again. My head started aching and my body felt as fragile as glass. And to make things worse, my skin felt numb because it isn’t familiar with my body feeling fragile. All this gave me intense anxiety and things got worse by the second. “GASP, GAsp, gasp” I lay down on the ground and slowly started to feel better. I was being mindful of my breath and stress levels. And lay down until I felt better.
I lay down for 30-60 minutes, and felt a lot better. I stood up and observed my surroundings. I was in a MASSIVE bright room with a dark wooden floor and lime green walls. And the room was empty. All it had was a dark green door. I had 2 options. Option 1 -I die alone in this room because I'm too chicken to open the door. Or, option 2. I face my fears and go through the door and have a chance of freedom. With not a second to waste I started running towards the door. But right before I opened the door. I stopped... The door gave off an eerie vibe. I had a bad feeling about what was on the other side of this door. Nevertheless, I opened it anyway. Once I opened it. I stood still in utter disbelief. I saw a group of people a few feet away. But their faces were blurry because They were far away. They were all tied to a tree and surrounded by random furniture. They all saw me and started shouting “HELP HEEEELP!”. I was terrified! Who knows what would happen to me if I got closer? Would something jump on me and tie me up as well?I stood still for a hot minute anticipating if I should lend a helping hand. And being extremely scared. I was gonna run away. But, my heart told me I should help them. Because If I was one of them. Then I would want someone to come and help me as well. I collected myself and then started sprinting to the tree to unite them.
As I got closer. I could see their faces clearly. My mum and 5 of her work colleagues were tied to a big green oak tree. “MUM?!, What are you doing here?!” I said. “The same goes for you young missy” my mum said crossly. Still chatting with my mum to my heart's content. I was untying the rope slowly. “HURRY UP!” Jane, my mum's workmate said. “WE WANT TO GET OUT OF HERE”. Out of instinct I jumped. “Fine, fine jeez” I said as I cut the rope. Then suddenly I heard some loud footsteps gradually getting louder and louder. ¨HURRY THEY'RE COMING!¨. Me being pressured and scared I viciously cut the rope and Immediately everyone stood up and dashed away. They were going towards a secret door in the corner of the room. “ Where are you all going?”. No one replied. Instead. My mum grabbed onto my wrist tightly and started running while pulling me along. She was making us run towards what looked like a plain wall. “Stop!” I shouted to my mum. “ We're gonna hit the wall!”. But even so she ignored me and continued running. A few seconds before we hit the wall, I turn around and see a GINORMOUS green figure emerging from the walls. A few seconds later I wake up and I'm in my backyard with my mum. “Mum, mum wake up!” I woke her up from her sleep to find that everything that was stolen was back to where it used to be. They were all squeaky clean. Cleaner then when they were stolen. I ran outside to see if the green light was still there. But it was gone. There was absolutely no trace of that green alien ship looking thing being here any more. The only thing left was the hole in the fence that the light shone through.
A few minutes later. I hear a knock at the door. I immediately get off the ground and rush to the door. I open the door and I see one polican man and one police woman. My mum quickly runs down the stairs right behind me. And without a second to lose. The police bombard us with questions about strange noises and green flashing lights. My mum and I responded no to everything and waited for the police to leave. We promised each other to never speak of what happened EVER again. My mum and I talked everything out and everything isn't awkward anymore. We now go about our everyday lives as if nothing happened.

Math Activity
The benefits of this game is it help with your addition as well as it gets you thinking a lot about strategy. It helps with addition because in the game you need to add numbers together and try to highest number you can. And in order to get a high score you need to know in advance what numbers you want to add so that you get a high score. It will get your brain think constantly and eventually you will know all the addition of hand.
The other benefit of the game is it forces you really sharpen up your strategy. It isn't a game that you can click random buttons and get a REALLY high score. You need to think about where you want the numbers to go or else the game will end. And you will have to start all over again.
