 This task is about describing food. To do this task we had to make a collage of foods then choose 3 items from the collage to describe. It was a very difficult task in my opinion because I didn't know what to choose. In the end I chose oranges, sandwiches and juice. Happy Holidays!

This activity is about showing kindness. We had to insert a screenshot of the comment and myself replying to it. It was fast and easy but quite really time-consuming. I hope you also do some positive comments.

My Jingle Bell song ( SLJ )

 

For this task, we just had to make our own version jingle bells song. I tried to keep it as similar to the original as possible. Mine was based on how Santa takes off and what he probably thinks when delivering presents. It was really fun and I hope you try it out too.

Te Huarere/Weather ( SLJ )

Marhaban! This task was about the weather. I found it quite easy and learned some new words. For this task, I had to listen to audios then answer the question. The question was  He aha te tohu huarere? Can you answer this in Moari? Happy Holidays!

Which one doesn't belong ( SLJ )

This task was about identifying which image does not belong with the rest. I found slide 3, 9 and 10 the most difficult because a lot of them didn't belong. So I went with the one that has the most things that make it not fit in. It was harder then I expected. Can you figure out the last slide. Comment to answer the question.

Haiku Poem ( SLJ )

 

For this activity we had to make a haiku poem. A haiku poem is a poem that contains 17 syllables in total. 5 syllables on the first line. 7 on the  second line. And lastly 5 on the third on. My one was based on a windy day. What theme would you do for your haiku poem?

Treasure Map Code KS ( SLJ )

Today's activity was about unlocking the secret code which was written in pigeon cipher ( another way to write the alphabet ). I found this activity difficult because I have never seen this writing before so it took me a long time to get used to it. Can you figure out the clue on the last slide?

Hana kōkō ( SLJ )

 This weeks Summer Learning Journey task was to make our own Santa design costume. At first glance it looked cool and easy but as I did it I found it seriously challenging.

Insect Art (SLJ)

This task was about making insects out of resources from nature.My dragonfly insect art was a challenging task because I had trouble keeping the objects still. Overall it was a very fun task. From doing this task I was able to use  my imagination.

This Summer Learning Journey  task was about Te Reo Maori phrases. What found most challenging part about this task was finding meaning for the Maori words. One new word that I learnt from this activity was tātahi meaning beach.

Fishy False Teeth ( SLJ )

This SLJ post was about making my own comic by looking at the pictures. Before I could write the mini comic I had to read a text that was an interpretation of the soundless video. The mood in the mini comic that I chose was funny.

The Theory Of Humming Birds summary

 

Last week my group were reading a book called ¨ The Theory Of Hummingbirds¨. This is my summary that I made this week. One new thing I learnt from this book is that hummingbirds legs are too small to walk so                                                                         they fly instead.

I chose this art because I really like watermelons and thought it would be cool to design my own watermelon. I chose to make it rainbow themed because I want to show that everyone is the same but different at the same time. So really the watermelons represent us humans.
