I am a Year 7 student at Edmund Hillary School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 9 and my teacher is Roya. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first draft. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.
This task was about how different countries celebrate Summer. Part of this task we needed to read an article about different countries in summer. But, New Zealand wasn't there. So we had to write our own. This is what I came up with.
Great work on this task, you are actually the first person I've seen who's done this task even though it's been live for a while. I think this is a great insert for Kiwi summers, it works well because I think it fits in quite well with the other paragraphs on the website.
It's weird to think people don't know it's summer between December and February in the Sothern hemisphere but I think we learn it's cold for northern hemisphere Christmas a lot younger than the reverse because of all the North American and European Christmas movies.
Great post Ruqayat, See you later in the comments,
Marhaban Daniel. Thank you for your positive feedback. I really am grateful. I am surprised to hear that I'm the first person you have seen to do this task. I only found out that Summer starts on December and ends on February yesterday ( day of this post ). So I'm glad I could learn something new. I also learnt something from your comment. Its that not everyone thinks Summer starts on December and ends February. Thank you once again and Happy Holiday!
