Today in room 10. Everyone played a math game/activity of their choice and needed to write a brief report on the benefits of the activity. The game of my choice is a game called 2048.
The benefits of this game is it help with your addition as well as it gets you thinking a lot about strategy. It helps with addition because in the game you need to add numbers together and try to highest number you can. And in order to get a high score you need to know in advance what numbers you want to add so that you get a high score. It will get your brain think constantly and eventually you will know all the addition of hand.
The other benefit of the game is it forces you really sharpen up your strategy. It isn't a game that you can click random buttons and get a REALLY high score. You need to think about where you want the numbers to go or else the game will end. And you will have to start all over again.
